Heather & Chris | Eclectic Wedding at the Metropolitan Building

An eclectic New York wedding for your Wednesday?

From the bride and groom:

Why did you choose this location for your wedding? ?It just fit our personalities perfectly. We knew the second we walked in the door. The venue and their staff were super laid back and everything we needed and wanted was included. The entire 3rd floor of the warehouse is filled with gorgeous antiques and we were given the liberty to handpick pieces we wanted to use for the day of, including our favorite item, the stack of suitcases for our wedding ceremony. We literally were given the freedom to do whatever we wanted in the space ? a pi?ata, hand fireworks for recession, custom decorations and of course an epic dance party.

What inspired you when you were planning your wedding? ?The most important things to us, was to have an intimate wedding where guests could be a close part of it in every way possible. We really wanted it to represent us, through our love for each other and all the playful elements we incorporated throughout the day.

What was your favorite moment or part of the day? ?The entire thing. It was the perfect day ? best party we?ve ever been to hands down. Hope everyone else is so lucky.

Did you include any traditions in your wedding?? We included readings that had deep meaning to us throughout our relationship, such as 100% Perfect Girl by Murakami and The Little Prince. We also created some new traditions, like passing our wedding rings through the hands of each guest during the ceremony.
